Trust Hospitality, based in Coral Gables, Florida, is a professional, full-service hotel management company that has operated branded and independent hotels throughout the Americas for over 30 years, with emphasis on properties in the Eastern United States and the Caribbean.
In 2020, at the beginning of the Covid 19 pandemic, it entered into an agreement with Highgate Hotels. With the assistance of Trust Hospitality personnel, Highgate assumed the management of its approximately 30 hotels.
In the fourth quarter of 2023, Trust Hospitality relaunched its management business with the same focus it had previously – 50 to 200 room EP hotels in the Eastern United States and the Caribbean. It has hired or plans to hire several of its former associates and has commitments to operate hotels in Miami, New York City and the Caribbean.
Trust Hospitality is led by Richard Millard and Michael Register, two of its original founders.
Richard has over five decades of hands-on experience in the hospitality business. He has held virtually every position in a hotel, from his beginning as a night audit clerk at the Hilton Midtown to the GM of the 1400 room Hyatt Regency in Dallas. Since that time Richard as the CEO of Trust Hospitality has managed several hundred hotels in the United States, the Caribbean, and Latin America
Michael Register began his career in hospitality as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Nikki Beach, where he led the team to bring on new Nikki Beach locations around the world. After working at Nikki Beach, Michael joined Richard at Trust Hospitality to grow the company to approximately 35 hotels before joining forces at Highgate. At Highgate, Michael was a Managing Director for two years and now is focused on growing Trust Hospitality. Prior to working in the hospitality industry, Michael was the co-founder of a successful software company, AAT, which was acquired by a publicly traded Swiss company. Previously he practiced international corporate and business law, including three years at the Pinheiro Neto Law Firm in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
